SALE, DELIVERY AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS
(for private orders)
Orders
By placing your order you indicate that you agree to the general terms and conditions. For misunderstandings, mutilations, delays or improper transmission of orders and communications as a result of the use of the Internet or any other means of communication in the traffic between you and Optelec Canada, or between Optelec Canada and third parties – insofar as they relate to the relationship between you and Optelec Canada, Optelec Canada is not liable, unless there is intent or gross negligence on the part of Optelec Canada.
DELIVERY
Optelec Canada will do everything possible to deliver accepted orders as quickly as possible, whereby Optelec Canada strives to ship orders for items on working days within 48 hours, provided they are in stock.
Exceeding the delivery period does not entitle you to compensation nor the right to cancel the order or to dissolve the agreement, unless the exceeding of the delivery period is such that you cannot reasonably be expected to honour the agreement.
SHIPPING
If you discover transport damage or improper functioning of the purchased items, this must be reported in writing to Optelec Canada within 48 hours.
PRICING
The sales prices as stated are in Canadian dollar, including VAT, excluding (any) shipping costs and only apply within Canada. Any price changes are reserved.
EXCHANGES – RETURNS – COMPLAINTS
If you do not want an item for any reason, you have the right to return the item to Optelec within thirty (30) calendar days after delivery and to terminate the agreement. In this case, returns will only be accepted if the packaging of the item is undamaged and the contents of the packaging are complete and undamaged. If you have already paid for the item in question, the amount will be refunded by Optelec no later than fourteen (14) calendar days after handling the return shipment. The direct costs of return are at your expense.
GUARANTEE
It is annoying when an item does not work as expected. For minor problems you will often find a solution in the article’s manual. In addition, you can use the contact form or contact Optelec for all your questions regarding an article. If your item appears to be defective upon receipt and if the manual or contact with us does not lead to a solution, you can return it free of charge. Report the problem and you will receive further instructions. Please also fill in a clear complaint description on the back of the invoice/packing slip. Send the item including all accessories and the original invoice/packing slip in proper packaging free of charge to the freepost number you receive from us after reporting your problem.
Manufacturer’s warranties apply to all hardware and software in our range. This means that you are entitled to the regular warranty provisions as determined by the manufacturer of the item. These warranty conditions are specific to each item and you will find them in the accompanying documentation. If you have any questions or would like to make a claim under the warranty, you can contact Optelec.
Excluded from warranty for all products is in any case:
- Moisture or water damage
- Damage due to improper use
RESERVATION OF TITLE
Ownership of the delivered products will only be transferred if the customer has paid everything he owes under any agreement. The risk regarding the products passes to the customer at the time of delivery.
